I'm as impressed as anyone with the development of Aiden McGeady, and I think he's a strong pick for Player of the Month if he keeps up. Player of the Year? Not yet. Scott McDonald has a bit to say about that, as you've pointed out, and as much as I hate to admit it, considering the team he's had around him, Velicka has an argument as well. He's certainly been the most valuable player to his team in Scotland, since Hearts have had zero offense without him. Another week, another thing for me to disagree with Chick Young about. But if he wants to use the new guys as extra motivation to raise his game further, I'm all for it. Though they did advance in the CL without him, Celtic are certainly better with Naka on the pitch. You can't deny the effect of a player like him on the team. Robson's a great player, but let's see him score a few more in the hoops before thinking the unthinkable.
