Celtic 0-Rangers 0: Pillow not included.

By: Matt | February 15th, 2009

Well, that was a restful 90 minutes. Nothing like a little game of keep away in front of 60,000 people to help get me to sleep at 730 in the AM. After a miserable night of hacking up a lung due to an epic outbreak of the flu on the University of Dayton campus, I arose ready to view one of the most exciting derbies in the world. Allegedly. However, the match today did what imitation brand nyte-quil could not do the night before, put me to sleep. Oh, they were supposed to be playing football and not help me get over my sickness? Could have fooled me. 10 shots in total, 4 on goal. That is the stats for both teams, not one. Wow. Each team contributed equally to these impressive stats. Scott McDonald had the best chance of the day fifteen minutes in when new bhoy Willo Flood sent Skippy a gift wrapped cross perfect for a goal, but McDonald sent the ball wide. Rangers also had two chances on net, one being sent that direction by an almost own goal by Stephen McManus. David Weir also got a decent chance when he got his head on the ball, but Artur Boruc made a good save to keep the game goalless. Shunsuke Nakamura was almost able to pull some late game heroics when he got an 89th minute free kick. Nakamura took it well, but McGregor was able to push it away. All in all, it was a ugly game, with both teams hoofing long balls and hoping for the best. “The most important match of the season” pt. 3 did nothing to sort out the league, as Celtic still are two points ahead in the league.

It was a good game old firm 0-0 results are good for keeping the peace in the City. Sorry to bring politics into Football but…

COULD THE SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT GIVE CELTIC FOOTBALL CLUB £2.66 MILLION POUNDS.

If Scotland was a Independent Country, any Scottish Government could afford to give each Scottish Premier League Club £2.66 Million from just one day’s Scottish Oil and Gas revenue.

That is money us generous Scot’s currently give to London – lock – stock and barrel.

Scottish Oil is worth £22,831 a minute, £32 million a day, 12 billion a year

As Football is at the core of Scottish Society – Would a Independent Scottish Government not support sport in Scotland.

Think about and do not base your opinion on lies in 2010

I’m flattered that you think posting political issues you support on my blog will get you enough attention.

    Not much I can add.

From the previous, Aiden McGeady. The sub should have been Aiden for Naka and Flood should have been left on. Naka was a beaten man.

As Football is at the core of Scottish Society……true, so is racism and bigotry but I don’t see you devoting valuable web space to that. If Scotland did become independant I fear for it’s future.

    Slow news week…..

    WGS is the worst…absolute worst

For the record, I did’nae agree with the team selection. However, it was working.

Three up front pressured Motherwell into their own end.
It gave Caldwell many safety valves for distribution.
As well, it compacted Motherwell’s width which helped our flanks on the crappy surface.

So, when we have created all the chances and the Well has’nae threatened, we finally score and WGS subs off our only true hold-up player.

    The decision dramatically changed everything:
    1. changed from a 4-3-3 to a 4-4-2
    2. removed an option for Caldwell
    3. Pushed Brown up higher
    4. Brought Aiden on – who needs the ball at his feet – onto an even shittier surface
    5. Forced Samaras into the VoH role – WHICH HE CANNOT DO!
    6. Invited Motherwell onto us…familiar formation; familiar tactics; at home; trailing 1-0

    WGS? No answer.

STRACHAN MUST GO! STRACHAN MUST GO! STRACHAN MUST GO!
STARCHAN MUST GO! STRACHAN MUST GO! STRACHAN MUST GO!
STRACHAN MUST GO! STRACHAN MUST GO! STRACHAN MUST GO!
