Celtic 5-0 Hearts: Steppin Up

By: JT | August 26th, 2007

The Bhoys dominated a dispirited Hearts squad yesterday at Celtic Park, looking like a top class side in the process. Massimo Donati slalomed past two Jambo defenders to score the pick of the goals as Nakamura, Vennegoor of Hesselink, and Scott Brown got on the score sheet as well. Christophe Berra used his grill to deflect a Celtic shot into his own net to open the scoring.

Things are looking pretty damn good as the Bhoys gear up for the Spartak Moskva clash on Wednesday. Superb performances from every player on the pitch, with confidence oozing from everyone including the fans and manager. The central midfield duo is insanely tough, energetic, and productive at the moment, pushing the team forward at every opportunity. WGS has the Hoops ready for the task at hand, and its really quite impressive considering the team’s form heading into the season.

Time is sparse these days and I’ll be on the road early in the week. Look for the Spartak preview late Tuesday nite or early Wednesday morning!

Hail Hail!

    Oh. my. goodness.

What a great display the Bhoys put on!

    Man, Naka really whacked Berra.

Did you see that sweet cut back Donati made just outside the area?

    Spartak is in trouble.
