Celtic Lhadies Reach Scottish Cup Finals: More musings on Hun-Gate

Lhadies The Ghirls of Celtic have reached the Scottish Cup Finals with a 3-2 defeat. Celtic got a goal from Christie Miller and Jo Love, the girl in question in the Hun-gate controversy, knocked in two. All of the Ghirls goals came in a first half that Celtic dominated. The second half was much more tense as the Sheep Sha…aw that joke is too easy…Aberdeen got a goal back early and pressured for the equalizer. Apparently the Ghirls have been taking notes on the Bhoys defense and prescribed a “bend but not break” defense. It was enough to win the day and move onto the finals. The Ghirls now have a showdown with Hibernian in the Finals at McDiarmid Park on Saturday, May 17.
There has been much discussion on the “Tim-ernet” about Jo Love and her Bebo page (now deleted) and her choice of team she supports and how it relates to her “employer”(apparently Women’s Football is amateur in Scotland). I am first curious if I was the source for all of this hubabaloo, but I digress. Many Celtic supporters are horrified that a Rangers supporter could even muster to pull on the Hoops. Others make the argument that she gives 100% for Celtic and is one of the best players on the Ghirls team. I tend to take arguments from both camps. She obviously gives it her all when playing for Celtic and there have been other Rangers fans who have played for the Big Club, including suspicions about Scott Brown (that’s why he’s shite this year….I joke.) However, the biggest problem I had, along with many supporters, is with the whole situation is her reference to Celtic as the “manky Mob”. Who you support is who you support and there’s nothing anyone can do about that, but I would think that you would at least not bad mouth your team, or if you do at least make your profile private. That is today’s lesson khids, you never know who is looking at your Facebook, Bebo, Myspace, etc so check those privacy preferences…The more you know…
