Celtic Shorts 08.08.07–MFers Finally on Their Way
By: JT | August 8th, 2007
I’m on the road today, so a quick link dump it’ll be. That’s me at left, in about two hours.
On to our soon to be dearly departed duo (one maybe literally).
Jiri Jarosik did a two part interview with a Russian paper. On Day 1 he said he wants out of Scottish football because he’s a beotch. On Day 2 he’s going to assess the strengths and weaknesses of all the Celtic players ahead of the Spartak Moskva tie. That’s neat. I’ll reserve judgment on that prospect till I see what he says, but it strikes me as a pretty bad idea on his part. If he likes his present facial structure, that is.
The agent of Thomas Gravesen is talking again. He just can’t believe his man isn’t getting first team action at Celtic Park. He also goes on to admit he’s never actually watched Gravesen play for Celtic.
Zenit St. Petersburg manager and former Rangers boss Dick Advocaat thinks Celtic’s chances against Spartak Moskva in the CL qualifiers are about 50/50. Thanks for the brilliant insight, Dick.
It was always going to be tough for Celtic supporters to get to Moscow for the first leg of the CL qualifiers. Now the club’s travel partner says they haven’t been able to find suitable air travel. The Celts have been allocated 2000 tickets for the match, and only 600 are expected to travel through their own devices. You’ll never walk alone, indeed.

I’ve looked into the crystal ball, checked and re-checked the math, and I think that I can finally tell Advocaat:
Zenit have a 1-in-16 chance of winning the Russian Premier League.
He also goes on to admit he’s never actually watched Gravesen play for Celtic. Very, very funny line.
