Celtic Shorts 09.25.07–Naka to Miss Milan Match?
By: JT | September 25th, 2007
Celtic’s Japanese midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura looks set to miss next week’s key Champions League fixture against Milan at Celtic Park. Apparently Naka has been playing on after injuring the outer ligament of his left knee during the tie with Spartak Moskva a few weeks back. Says Naka, “Its only painful when I try to kick the ball with force.” Hmmmm, that would seem to be an essential element of his game, wouldn’t it?
Defining the term “swift justice”, WGS’s appeal against a four match ban stemming from an incident in April for “dissent in word and action” has been reduced to two matches by the SFA. The appeals process in football is a joke, so results like this are to be expected, especially when its one of the bigger clubs’ managers presenting his case. Would Craig Brewster or Jim Jefferies get the same treatment? I bet not.
Celtic great Packie Bonner reckons that Artur Boruc has four or five more years left at Celtic. He says Boruc will be the best in the world at that point, and command a move to the club of his choosing. Its great that Ol’ Packie is thinking so positively, but I’m not expecting the King to be hanging around Parkhead for that much longer.

Yikes. That’s a huge loss for your guys, especially going into maybe the biggest match of your CL season. I’m with you on Artur - I give him two more years at Celtic.
