Celtic Unveil Fantastic New Away Kit!
By: JT | June 26th, 2007As much as I bitch about Nike and their annoying tendency to be in your face all the time, they have been remarkably accommodating when it comes to Celtic’s strip. They’ve let us stay with the green, white, black, and yellow range that is more or less traditional. This season’s away kit is no exception. The entire strip is a very dark and classy green. It will definitely be a huge seller.

The badge is special for this season. The center is Celtic’s normal badge, with the single star for Celtic’s 1967 European Cup triumph over Inter Milan in Lisbon. The lettering around it commemorates the 40th Anniversary of that great day. Its in Portuguese, but in English it says “25 May 1967, Lisbon Lions 40th Anniversary.”
I’ll get around to a full post on the Lisbon Lions someday soon, but the most amazing thing about them was that all eleven players were born within 30 miles of Celtic Park! A truly amazing accomplishment.

The color and badge are nice — but
not too sure about the basic round collar though. 7/10.Posted from

Looks nice. It’s a little close to looking like Hibs, no?

Very true Christian, its similar to Hibs, though they go with the white sleeves. When Celtic go to Easter Road they’re going to have to use the 3rd kit which is all white, or some other mix and match combo.
