Celtic v FC Copenhagen in Group F Qualifier

By: Cham | December 6th, 2006

FC CopenhagenCeltic aims to finish atop their UEFA Champions League Group F today. After a stunning home side win over the Red Devils of Manchester United – a match that will forever be cherished by Celtic fans everywhere – Gordon Strachan and the Bhoys look to clinch the Group F title, if they manage to win in Copenhagen.

The home victory against United certainly sends a strong message to the Copenhagen side, but Celtic road results have been less than stunning. Celtic lost 3-2 to United in Manchester, and gave Benfica a 3-nil putaway at the start of November.

All this notwithstanding, Celtic has a goal and a win in hand against their Danish opponents, since winning at home back in September; the only goal coming off of Miller’s penalty in that game’s 36 minute.
