Celtic Video of the Week: Teasing the new boy and Ian

Oh club football, how I’ve missed you. While today’s international affairs provided great material for me to put off writing my Political Integrity paper and not study for my Urban Politics test all of which are due tomorrow, as I’ve stated before, I just cannot get as excited about these games. Sure I love watching football, especially compared to the alternatives today, but I am just not as emotionally invested in these games. So while I scoured the internet today, I came across this video that got the excitement for the return of SPL action against Inverness Caley Thistle. Also in my internet travels, I noticed we welcomed an Aberdeen blogger to the SPL Offside. Not only will this video welcome the new Dons blogger, but it will also be a nice little rebuff to Ian’s latest article about past Celtic games in Inverness. You see, Celtic have tended to come down with a condition whenever they travel to the Highlands, called Shite-itis. Maybe it is going down to the level of the competition (jokes, Ian!), but Celtic always seem to have trouble up north. However, Celtic have been known from time to time to net a late winner or equalizer. They’ve certainly had their fair share against both Inverness CT and Aberdeen, which brings us to our video of the week. Not only will this video get you revved up for this Saturday’s match, but it will also welcome our new SPL blogger properly, with Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink haunting his dreams.

  We struggle because Caley is a shithole and I have never been able to attend a match up there yet. Saturday is no different. Working until 12 on Saturday, in meeting wie wie my local MP concerning the welfare benefit system.

  Cheers Matt, I’ve only just gotten over those tight 6-0 and 7-0 games from a few season ago. Just when you think aberdeen winning the title for Celtic last season would put an and to the abuse, along comes more And wee flossy dreaming of Jan is not too bad, at least he’s not dreaming of auld gingerpubes himself.

  Hate to break it to you, but as the Lordofthewing said, we won the title on our own accord. You beating the Huns and Nacho “Prick” Novo getting sent off was just gravy. Although, you could say the same for us beating Dundee that day to help you scoot into fourth.

  That was a great video. Can’t complain about ROI’s game though Matt, as it was exciting stuff. The US team, though they’ve already qualified, might drive you back to the club game…
