Celtic really stunk it up tonight in the Netherlands, losing their first game of the Feyenoord Jubilee Tournament against Tottenham 2-0. Spurs saw goals by Bent and Bentley, both somewhat the result of poor defensive play. Celtic did not see much offensive chances either, with only 1 shot by Massimo Donati in the 87th minute. All in all, an ugly scene that could have gotten uglier without some spectacular play by Artur Boruc. Aiden McGeady had another solid game and Scott Brown had a good performance as well, but that might be it. The fullbacks continued to show why they are not up to snuff as both Mark Wilson and Lee Naylor struggled all game (If Martin O’Neill is reading this, then Lee Naylor had a great game, you should definitely buy him!) Paul Hartley was responsible for the first goal when a sloppy back pass was intercepted. Captain Stephen McManus also struggled during the game. Not only was he suspect on the field, McManus was also injured and had to be subbed out of the game. As much as I make jokes, Strachan and company need to make a move for a fullback like Paul Robinson and/or finish the deal with Gabriel Tamas. Whatever he does, he needs to do it quick.

Ah ok. I looked up and yelled in frustration and missed that part I suppose. Either way, good performance by Spurs and not so much by Celtic.
