Giuly, Gravesen, & Mills on a Slow Sunday
By: JT | June 17th, 2007
Celtic’s loose connection to Barcelona’s fringe players continues, as it has now been revealed that Ludovic Giuly is a target. If it’s true that he’ll only cost £1.3 million, then that’s great business. But when The People says he’s going to be a replacement for Neil Lennon I have to question the statement altogether. Considering one runs about as fast as a pensioner who just had hip surgery and the other sprints all over the pitch like a madman, we’re not really talking like for like here. That said, I’d love to see Giuly in that fine green and white kit, if at all possible.
Thomas Gravesen is keen to fight for a first team place at Celtic Park. Getting beat out by Phil Hartley has got to bruise the ego a bit, but the Dane needs to get on with life. He can be a major player in our midfield, sans Lennon, and should not be allowed to leave Parkhead easily or cheaply. Above, the reason Gravesen left Madrid is the same reason why we all love him. Doesn’t everyone want to whip up on Robinho?
Could there be a more perfect match than Danny Mills and Rangers? The News of the World says they are about to link up. He looks and acts like one of their fans, so expect to see Danny at Ibrox this fall, and the red cards to follow soon after.
