I set my clocks early, ’cause I know I’m always late (winner)

The Champions rallied to tie it up, and I’m sure the Dons were content to take home a point from Celtic Park. Then they once again had dreams crushed by Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink. It seems like the big Dutchman always seems to be knocking back Aberdeen with a late winner or equalizer, and the trend continued today as he put Celtic ahead 3-2 in injury time. The dancing Dutchman also netted the first goal of the game for Celtic in the first half, apparently motivated after reading I had relegated him to the land of the Donati. Vennegoor of Hesselink has seemingly now made 30 goal scorer Scott McDonald the odd man out of the striker situation now. In making the Celtic Offside look incredibly wrong so more, Aiden McGeady started off on the bench again but came in the second half after Celtic went down. However, perhaps Aiden finally got the message of the benching because he came on and was phenomenal. It seemed like the “old Aiden” was back, as he was directly responsible for the two second half goals by Celtic.

Give credit to Aberdeen for coming out with some spirit in the second half and putting up two quick goals. Former Celt Mulgrew put home a peach of a free kick, continuing to prove that Gordon Strachan send offs like to come back and hurt at Celtic Park. I just hope that Derek Riordan is suspended for the first Celtic v Hibs game, or he could put 8 goals in. You can never count out Celtic when they are down, and they continued to prove that today. Today was a good game to go into Tuesday’s important Champions League tie against Villareal, which I will be back to preview soon!
