I’d be alright with Jozy getting a goal, so long as Celtic wins 2-1. Forget just the Cup, I’d enjoy a treble. We’ve got a couple of big games coming up with both teams from the Capital and some small derby coming up…

Yeah, give the regulars a bit of a breather. There’s too much football packed in the tight schedule.

Since Celtic are out of Europe, let’s save our energy for the domestic titles. Then all our cheers will go up, for the Scottish Cup will rest in Paradise.

I think this would be an excellent time for Jozy to make a start.

I’d even be thrilled if he tapped in the winner.

Nick-I’d do exactly what you said. Give players like Koki, Paddy McCourt, O’Dea and other youngsters a taste of the Champions League. I’m not sure we’ll see the usual Champions League home crowd since they game is pretty meaningless though. Villareal will also probably not put forth a full squad either (the US National Team Fan in me hopes we see Jozy) but it will still be a good experience for the future of Celtic.

A good question is: What does Strach do for Villareal?

If the match were in Spain, I’d give much of the Starting XI a bit of a rest; and get some CL experience from my bench and reserves.

However, the match is at home, with home crowd expectations and all. But, the match is worthless.

It was a slow game Nick, but the combination of injuries and Tuesday’s set back perhaps meant that it was to be expected. We’ve had a relatively easy run of the schedule here for awhile, but some tests are coming up. December was not so good to Celtic last year, lets hope that the team stays focused, injuries heal up, and we send Hearts, Hibs, and Rangers on their way.

Glad with the results all around, but I think that Celtic didn’t play with the vigor they’re capable of.

Hopefully, they’ll shake off the CL loss. Hibs and Hearts are upcoming, and it’s time to really send the message that Celtic want the SPL title.

“William Wallace loving crew”…..staying in Stirling, the place made famous by Mel Gibson and a bad Scottish accent (in a film flimed in Ireland) I take umbridge at that comment!!!!!

Shit game, decent result but there was mair chance of Gary Glitter coming oot as a priest that ICT even trying to make a game of it today. Disappointed in them.

Yeah, I have to admit, the Nakamura pass was just lovely. We kept it close (unlike the 5-0 embarrassment last season there), so I’m pretty pleased. I would have liked to have seen a late substitution in a more positive direction, but overall, losing 1-0 at Celtic Park isn’t too shabby for a club our size.
