Lennon to Wycombe & Some Unsubstantiated Chatter
By: JT | June 8th, 2007Neil Lennon has turned down a move to League Two Wycombe. The Captain can play Premiership football, no doubt. It may not be with the big four, but he has a few top level years left in him.
Jiri Jarosik wants out, to Spurs perhaps. The best part is that he says the SPL is too rough for him. OK, bye then.
Falling firmly in the ‘No Shit’ category, Celtic’s Tommy Burns says Shaun Maloney’s move to Villa was a tad premature. I couldn’t agree with Tommy more. The move would eventually happen, but he needed more first team action at Parkhead.
The Aussies have left new Bhoy Scott McDonald out of their Asian Cup squad. He needs to be ready to compete for a spot in preseason training, so he’s skipping the Cup.
ENTERTAINING MESSAGE BOARD TALK
Apparently Celtic and FC Schalke are duking it out over Fenerbahce’s Stephen Appiah. The Sun has an exclusive on this which I’m trying to track down.
Gordon wants Giuseppi Rossi on loan from Man Utd.
Freddie Ljungberg is in Glasgow to talk to the Celtic brass.

I think its a safe bet he’s gone.
JV of H, McDonald, Killen, and Cillian Sheridan are safe bets. Word is they’re bidding for Stephen Naismith too.
Miller, Zurawski, Beattie, and maybe even Riordan could be looking for new homes, though of those four I’d like to keep Riordan around.
I’ll post about the strikers early next week.
