Match Day Review - Celtic 2 - Aberdeen 1
By: Cham | February 18th, 2007Celtic - 2 (Beattie, 9; Nakamura, 20)
Aberdeen - 1 (Mackie 90)
An attacking Craig Beattie added to his year’s goal total, finding the Aberdeen keeper Jamie Langfield defenseless, but it was Shunsuke Nakamura, who also assisted Beattie up the right side, who showed his free-kick genius, netting a classic strike from just yards outside the penalty area in the twentieth minute.
Celtic were set to savor the cleansheet, but long ball from the Aberdeen number one caught the Celtic defense napping and Scotland’s Darren Mackie was able to pass the ball through the legs of Artur Boruc and into the net.
The Aberdeen match will be a good warm-up for the Milan match, showing Milan and the world that Nakamura is still deadly from range, and that Celtic can’t keep a cleansheet to save their lives.

Poor Aberdeen keeper. He had no chance on either the Beattie goal or the beautiful Nakamura shot.
Milan’s defense won’t concede anything to Beattie like Aberdeen did; but, get Nakamura in shooting range, and there’s nothing anyone can do.
