Match Day Review - Celtic Lives It Up
By: Cham | February 4th, 2007Livingston - 1 (MacKay, 18)
Celtic - 4 (O’Dea, 30; Riordan 45, 59; Vennegoor of Hes., 61)
Despite giving up an early goal to Livi’s main man Dave MacKay, the Bhoys regrouped to turn pure offense to pure points. Ireland’s own Darren O’Dea landed in 30, followed up Derek Riordan in 45 to go ahead just before the half.
Riordan continued to duck the defense and score on 59, followed up by Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink in 61;
- His twelfth for Celtic this season
- His second of the Scottish FA cup
- His seventh in five consecutive matches
- His fifth game of five matches to score at least one goal.
Celtic will now meet Inverness Caley Thistle for the Fifth Round of the Scottish Cup near the end of the month. Celtic just recently beat Caley away 2-1 last Sunday, and hope to continue their dynamite run in Cup play, as well as competing for European greatness against Milan on 20 February.
We are Celtic. This is the Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink Celtic Offside Report.
