Mogga Interested in Some West Brom Souvenirs
By: Matt | June 15th, 2009
With West Brom and Celtic finally agreeing to a compensation package for New Celtic coach Tony Mowbray, there is now talk that ToMo is interested in taking some of the faces from the Baggies that he used to help get West Brom from the Championship to the Premier League (suck it Barclays). The reports are saying that Mowbray was so sure that he’d be in the Celtic driver seat that he had started planning tactics and who he’d be after in terms of transfers. One of these players include West Brom Spanish midfielder Borja Valero. Now, Baggies supporters need not worry, as it does not appear that Celtic and Mowbray are wishing to stick Valero in his suitcase and steal him for free, as West Brom supporters seemed convinced that Celtic were trying to do with Mowbray, and not, you know, negotiate.
If he is able to secure Valero’s services, it is likely that Mowbray will look to partner Valero with fellow Iberian Peninsula resident (I hesitate to call him Spanish) Marc Crosas, with either Aiden McGeady or Scott Brown (names West Brom can only dream of, by the way), with the other pushing up with the strikers in Mowbray’s likely 4-3-3 formation (I just went from 12 to 6 thinking about that formation). I would take an educated guess and say ToMo would have Broooony pushing up, like he did when both were at Hibernian, where Brown thrived. Most thought that Brown would be on his way to Tottenham in the summer, with Spurs and Harry Redknapp was keen on Broooony, but it is reported that Mowbray is not interested in selling Brown.
With Mowbray coming to Celtic, the whole Celtic set up is getting a shake up with some new names. Former Hibs defender Tommy McIntyre is moving from the SFA to oversee Chris McCart’s under-17 and under-19 academy with Stevie Frail and Miodrag Krivokapic. Former Celtic midfielder Peter Grant will also be coming as Tony Mowbray’s assman at Celtic.
Unfortunately, because of these moves, some names associated clubs will have so smaller roles in the club. Former reserves Manager Willie McStay, who led the Celtic Reserves to unprecedented success, will now be moving to Hungary to become the manager of the Celtic feeder club Ujpest, with Neil Lennon becoming the manager of the Ujpest reserves. While it is a shame that McStay and Lenny will be in Hungary, it is a good chance for both to get some managerial experience that they need. This also gives Celtic a place in the region, as McStay and Lennon and co. will be on the look out for talent in Hungary, the Czech Republic, and surrounding areas.

It’s amazing, they are not quite as vocal now that we managed to scrape together the 2 million. Lots of bingo nights at Celtic Park, I’m sure…

watching from afar, sad to see Mowbray go, but $3.3 Million to secure the services of the the man who sent us down with HIGHEST goals against, LOWEST goals for, even the kick-it-up-and-run Stokies got a dozen points more. not interested in Celtic AT ALL, but I suspect we’ll secure the sevices of certain D Ferguson and progress back the workds greatest league with another talented manager. life is good, is Mowbray good enough to beat your only rival over 4 games.. I suspect not LOL

That money claim is a load of bullshit from your cunt man in charge Peace. Ferguson? haha.. he will never even get close to living up to his fathers reputation.
World’s best league? Dont make me laugh. That’s La Liga you deluded English cunt. The people who actually know football would all agree that La Liga is far better in both competition and overall play. Most EPL games end up as entertaining as a cricket match. Only difference is the EPL is basically owned by Murdoch. And Murdoch has the media of the world at his fingertips.
So he uses that power to prop up the EPL and make people (who know fuck all about football) believe its the best league in the world.
