Monday Link Dump
By: Matt | May 5th, 2008First, I’m not sure even if the readers of this blog who are American have been watching the NBA playoffs, but there have been some good commercials called “Where Amazing Happens”. Well, a Tim (I’m assuming a North American, who if reading should check out the North American Celtic Supporters Forum, the Dead Raibead Forum) made a Celtic version and it is surprisingly good. Check it out here. Stephen McManus missed last weekends match against Motherwell after straining his calf against Rangers. While early reports were that Captain Mick was going to miss the remaining games, Mick is hopeful that he will be back in time this season.
Today in Celtic Park, The Bhoys had an open training session for all season ticket holders. Reports were a nice day and a wee pitch invasion from some khids at the end of the session. Friend of the blog, Kevin G attended the proceedings and has a warp up with some pictures here. Kevin estimates that about 7,000 to 8,000 people were there, but Celtic TV said there were about 15,000 there, perhaps they were using the Seville Calculator (joke stolen from Kevin G!)
Finally, not really breaking red letter news, but here at The Celtic Offsides Blog, we value all types of football, including those of the fairer sex who play. Of course, we also support all those in the green and white hoops, including the Ghirls team, who in their first year are having a great year. However, it has come to the attention of this blog that a “Hun-dercover” is on the Ghirls team. Credit given to those slueths at the Dead Raibead for finding out that #4, Jo Love, of the Ghirls team is in fact a stinkin Hun. In this writer’s humble opinion, I could never pull on the blue of the Huns and I give some credit to this girl (h subtracted), but I never thought any hun could ever do anything like that. I wonder how both the PLC would feel about it and her Hun pals. I bet she’s the butt of all the jokes at the orange lodge… “Dignity, Timmy”…

Well, it looks like old Kenny Miller may be pulling on the blue kit after wearing the hoops after pulling on the blue kit. So Jo Love isn’t totally alone…
