Of Bhoys and Men - East End Parking
By: Cham | December 8th, 2006
Little has been made about Hoops’ Sunday fixture with Dunfermline Athletic at East End Park. Perhaps that is because Celtic and their faithful have had their minds on other things: defeating Aberdeen last weekend, January transfer aspirations, and their dreadful UEFA away form.
Maybe the reason for Celtic’s lack of attention to this upcoming fixture is that that little attention should be paid to Dunfermline. The Pars sit 19 goals back and 22 table points behind Celtic. In the two sides’ previous fixture, Stephen McManus scored one of his two 2006 goals against the East End squad. McManus will be out of this Sunday’s fixture, as he aggravated his groin in Copenhagen last Wednesday’s losing fixture.
The Bhoys shouldn’t be lacking McManus for goal-scoring purposes, but could certainly miss his defense, as Celtic’s defense has been its downfall. Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink will most likely remain off the pitch as well, along with Shaun Maloney, injured and taken off at 61 during Celtic’s draw with Hibs at Easter Road. Irish Reserve Darren O’Dea should fill out the backline in the injured Celt’s stead.
We are Celtic. This is the Celtic Offside Report.

In the states, I’m sure Jerry Falwell would have plenty to say about the triangle and script.
Time to revamp and try something not so Mtv eighties nightmare.
