Of Bhoys and Men - Shaking in his Milano Boots
By: Cham | February 16th, 2007
After actually acknowledging his side’s upcoming match with that team from Glasgow, Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti admitted he was wary of the physicality and fast pace style that his side will encounter at Parkhead Tuesday.
“Celtic are a very physical team. They play at high rhythm,” said Ancelotti. Just like I said.
Of specific Bhoys, Milano gave us: “I think Vennegoor of Hesselink is one of their best players. Last season he played against us when he was at PSV.” Apparently he’s been doing some reading too. JVH has been hot, scoring more goals than in the last five matches than you can count on one hand (that’s seven, for y’all counting at home and on two hands).
Of Shunsuke Nakamura, “He is a talented player, although he still has to find regularity (consistency),” No, the Japanese international is pure class, with an 18 month tour of Italian football under his belt to boot.
So, just to bring the boss of Milan up to speed:
We are Celtic Pure Intimidation. This is the Celtic Offside Report.

Cham,
Thanks for all the recent postings. Although I’ve been following the match results, lately I’ve been a bit too busy lately to keep up with the Celtic Report.
I’m severely disappointed that ESPN will NOT be broadcasting the match Tuesday. I’ve got the day off - Mardi Gras holiday and all - so it was the perfect opportunity to sit with a pint and a few chips to watch the match.
Still, I’ll be watching Arsenal.
Take care, mate.

Good to have you back, and I’m glad to be back on the post. Yes, the reality of no ESPN coverage has saddened me and my mates. Setanta at the pub isn’t even covering it, so we’re going to hook Celtic TV on the laptop up to the screen. At least I hope we can.
Cheers and Good Goals.
