Paul Caddis inks new two year deal
By: Matt | July 21st, 2008
Young twenty year old fullback Paul Caddis has signed a new two year deal with Celtic today. Caddis cracked the first team a few times last year, including a high profile home Champions League debut against Barcelona in the last 16, to which he performed adequately against the Catalonian giants. While many accuse Celtic of buying the best talent in Scotland, Caddis, like Aiden McGeady, is a product of the Celtic Academy and the fact that Caddis is fighting for first team playing time at the tender age of twenty is a testament to the quality of the Celtic Youth Academy. Caddis also made two appearances in the two friendlies so far in Celtic’s preseason. Caddis has also been capped for U21 Scottish National side and is seemingly looking to keep up the tradition for Celtic players and dodgy haircuts. Celtic also look to finalize the deal with Gabriel Tamas by tomorrow, as it seems the i dotting and t crossing has seemed to take longer than initially planned. It seems that it took awhile for Celtic and Auxerre to agree on the £3.5 million transfer fee.
