Picture of the Undetermined Amount of Time: Only One John Hartson
By: Matt | August 13th, 2009They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and when I am busy, posting a picture rather than writing a thousand words seems economical. It could also be an important and/or a interesting picture that I would like to share. However, I hesitate to call it a “picture of the week” or something like that because I am not sure how often I will post it. This is one of those instances though.

With the upcoming Champions League “playoff” coming up and John Hartson being discharged from the hospital after his first round of chemotherapy, I thought it appropriate to put up the picture of Big John from a previous “Battle of Britain” Celtic was involved with. Of course, Hartson netted a great goal against Liverpool that night. Keep fighting, Big Bad John!

Brilliant picture of a brilliant player!!
If the Big Man had been fit for the final against Porto, IMO we would have won it no problem.
Get well soon John!!

I am assuming Seattle Bhoy is referring to Big John with Charlie and the Bhoys, singing Fields of Athenry…

As a Wimbledon FC ran, I was ecstatic when we signed big John hartson. Although his time with us was brief, we loved him for his presence and true crazy gang, battering ram style. Great player. There’s alot of people rooting for you John, get well soon mate, Dan from Thailand.
