Scottish Hooliganism–A Thing of the Past?
By: JT | June 20th, 2007In the spirit of Bob’s post last week on the “Real Football Factories”, here’s the entire episode on Scottish hooligans, with a very special focus on, well, you know who. Its brought to you by the very fine folks at the Randalstown Co. Antrim, Ireland Celtic Supporters Club, otherwise know as the Randalstown Hoops. Enjoy!

I don’t know if it’s a thing of the past, but Scotland has done pretty well in the past ten years anyway, both domestically and internationally. SPL fans are, for the most part, pretty well-behaved. And outside of the Old Firm, it’s even quieter. Nice video.

the main reason why there is not much fan trouble up here anymore is the fact that booze has been banned from the stadiums since 1980 after the scottish cup final between celtic and rangers turned into a riot because rangers fans were upset that celtic fans were celebrating with danny mcgrain on the pitch.
now the spl are looking into bringing the booze back to raise more money for the clubs struggling to even match 10% of the old firms revenue - absolutely idiotic in my opinion.
