The Road to 4 in a row-Schedule released

Today, Celtic’s 2008-2009 schedule was released. The Bhoys will open the season and raise the 2007-2008 SPL title flag on Saturday August 10th against St. Mirren. Celtic will also meet hated rivals Rangers early in the season on August 30th at Celtic Park. The Bhoys will then have to wait until February to get another shot at Rangers on the 14th of February at Ibrox. Celtic’s webpage was clear to note that “all fixtures subject to change” and after this past season, I don’t think anyone will argue. Hopefully though with no Euro qualifiers for Scotland to disappoint in, no ground sharing being done to destroy other teams pitches, and no SPL teams having to pay their players in compliments the season will go more smoothly, but with the SFA and SPL you never know…(full schedule after the jump)

I’m studying abroad at the University of Glasgow in the fall – but I guess I won’t get to take part in any Rangers-Celtic festivities, because I’m only there September 8th until just before Christmas. Still looking forward to seeing Celtic Park and Ibrox in person!
