Transfer Rumor Madness begins
By: Matt | May 14th, 2008
Usually during this time in the SPL calender, the season is over and a champion has been crowned with only the Scottish Cup to play for, as is the case mostly around the world. If leagues don’t have American football to compete with or harsh winter weather, this part of the football calender is chock full of transfer rumors. Of course, this isn’t a normal SPL season with cancellations, rescheduling of matches, and other aspects to mess with the schedule. That hasn’t stopped the transfer rumors from flowing. One big one for Celtic has them tied to the “Croation Gatusso”…
Ognjen Vukojevic, a defensive holding player for Dinamo Zagreb, has been linked with Celtic, with some sources reporting that he has already signed but there has been no confirmation by that by Celtic or Vukojevic. The 24 year old Vukojevic has been capped three times for Croatia and is expected to be named to Croatia’s Euro 2008 side as well. He has appeared 45 times with Zagreb and has scored 3 goals with them. If Celtic have not signed Vukojevic then they might want to open the coin purse soon as Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and Espanyol have all inquired about Mr. V’s services…stay tuned. If we all look at Ognjen’s picture there, we all should pray that he does not give up football for a modeling career….

Yes, woo hoo indeed! But I decided rather than promote a racist team winning the UEFA Cup, I’d just look at Huns crying and rioting last night and enjoy that!

Touche, Matt. I guess in football, you can get carried away with the whole “enemy of my enemy” thing. Damn if that wasn’t some ridiculous rioting.

But don’t worry, it was only a minority of the Rangers support….yeah right….
