Celtic Summer Plans Taking Shape
By: Matt | March 26th, 2009Blah, internationals week. As someone who isn’t really into international football, this week is both boring and full of dread. All I really hope is that no Celtic players injure themselves playing for their respected countries and are not to fatigued after long travel and two games with their respective countries. Players like Naka and Scott McDonald have even farther to go than most, so hopefully there will be no drop off. While their is not much football news this week, Celtic’s plans for the summer off season friendly circuit are starting to be released. Celtic have been linked with two “off-season tournaments” this summer, the Peace Cup in Andalucia featuring Real Madrid, Sevilla, Juventus, Lyon, Aston Villa, and Saudi Champions Saudi Al Ittihad and a tournament hosted by Tottenham featuring Spurs, Barcelona, and Al Ahly in North London. Where Celtic goes depends on where they finish in the league. The Peace Cup want the champions of the SPL to attend, so a holiday to sunny Spain is extra incentive for the Bhoys to win the league this year.

Rut-1. While I am not a whiny mope like he is, I don’t care about the Scottish National Team and the week just provides more chance for players to get hurt.
2. Piss on the Fire!Posted from
